]]>Lauren chose the wonderful movie The Greatest Showman for her twelfth birthday theme and we are in love with the results! The Greatest Showman Birthday is a classy spin on a traditional circus theme using bright shades of pink and metallic gold, instead of more common primary carnival colors.
Of course, no cinematic experience would be complete without the movie itself! Lauren and her guests had a blast watching The Greatest Showman outside.
For centuries, people have gathered and celebrated while sharing tea and good conversation. To this day, a simple tea party is perfect for any age and any occasion. Let's show you how to make your tea party extraordinary (alternatively: to make your tea party "tea"-rrific)!
We combined lovely paper flowers, simple streamers and sweet honeycomb balls to create this original wall-art. The honeycombs can also be integrated into the balloon table garland for a fun twist. We also used our customizable rose gold letter balloons to spell "tea" and our pretty "party" script balloon. The foil letter balloons are also available in gold and silver.
Beautiful balloons are a welcome addition to any celebration! This giant, foil "9" balloon adds a lovely, whimsy touch and honors the birthday girl's special day. We offer the numbers 1-9 in gold, rose gold and silver to perfectly meet your decor needs.
Want to add an unexpected, fabulous touch to your table? Rather than a simple centerpiece, try a balloon table garland! This easy-to-make arrangement is so much fun! Add a few sprigs of greenery to accentuate the beautiful colors of the balloons. There are a variety of stunning ready-make collections and also the option to customize the colors yourself; the possibilities are endless!
At less than $15, this show-stopping decoration is a great way to decorate on a budget.
Tea parties have a delicate elegance that can be most wonderfully enhanced by beautiful flowers. However, fresh flowers often present their own difficulties: allergies, bugs and wilting, just to name a few. We offer a more manageable solution to this predicament. Paper flowers look just like real flowers but are so much easier to work with! They are lightweight but sturdy and very user-friendly. We carry a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes so you can mix and match to your satisfaction. You won't be disappointed by our gorgeous flowers!
We used sweet rose gold and floral plates, napkins, paper cups and of course, paper straws! These floral straws incorporate the party's main colors and compliment the paper flowers perfectly!
Thank you Ella for letting me be part of your 9th birthday!

Planning parties for toddlers can be tricky! It can be hard to determine what birthday themes will be a success. But one sure-fire way to ensure appeal to all ages..... is candy. Just about all kiddos love candy; it will be a hit for the whole family! A candy themed TWO SWEET birthday is a creative and fun way to celebrate your little sweetie and is exactly how we celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday party.
We incorporated mostly SMARTIES into our candy bar...i never knew so many different kinds of Smarties existed. As a mom, I love smarties....they are mostly mess and melt free and don't stain.
Our mini-balloons are a great addition to the decor of a candy themed bash! Their vibrant color and novel size will capture the attention of any little one.
Securing your balloons out of reach and monitor your little ones (and pets) carefully around balloons to reduce choking hazard. Our linking mini balloons require no helium. You simple inflate with air (we recommend a small hand pump, I buy mine for $1 at the Dollar Tree) and tie them end to end. These balloons have "tails" which makes tying them together a cinch. These linking balloons are available in many of our pre-packed color combos or choose to create your own color combination.
We piled up a bunch of our bright honeycomb balls in a variety of sizes for a pop of color underneath our party cart and around the room.
We included balloons in a variety of shapes and sizes at Sydney's party. After all, the balloons are often the child's favorite part! Above you can see our jumbo foil "2" balloon; because nothing says eye-candy quite like a giant, shimmery balloon. You can choose any number and pick from a bold gold, a dreamy rose gold, and a sleek silver. These giant balloons are a great way to capture your child in photo- and easy way to remember how old they are turning.
We revealed our newest balloon bouquet for Sydney's party...3 shades of pink, a metallic purple, golden yellow and our classic gold glitter balloons! We have a beautiful selection of party balloon bouquets, as well as the option to customize your own bouquet so you can have balloons in your little one's favorite colors.
Remember those lovely miniature balloons you saw earlier? Did you know they could even be used to decorate beverages? Fasten them to a stir-stick and add this unexpected pop of color to any drink. We guarantee your children will be all about these fun decorations!
We elevated our party punch by incorporating edible flowers. We put them in ice trays to make floral ice cubes. This made our drinks so pretty and special. You could also sprinkle edible flowers on cake or cupcakes for a pretty touch and a fresh taste. They add instant elegance to any celebration and they are completely kid-friendly.
To create the phrase "TWO SWEET" we used our fabulous foil balloons. These are self-sealing, completely reusable and require no helium. Each balloon has tabs to run a string through, allowing you to easily display. A clever caption takes any celebration to a whole new level of awesomeness, especially when it is displayed with elegant, deluxe balloons!
We decorated Sydney's chair with a yellow crepe paper flower and some tissue tassels. We offer a gorgeous selection of paper flowers. Choose from a collection of dreamy sizes and colors for a perfect complement to any occasion. Pair them with edible flowers for a soft, fresh theme or accent furniture with these soft, lovely blooms that people of all ages will enjoy.
Happy 2nd Birthday Miss Sydney.

My youngest babe recently turned ONE! It feels as though we just brought her home from the hospital. We blinked and our sweet baby is now one years old. How can one year go by so fast?! So many precious snuggles and smiles. I think a first birthday party is an extra special birthday...recognizing the blessing of her sweet life and cherishing such rapid and amazing change: sitting, smiling, clapping, walking....! But also a bittersweet farewell to the tender itty bitty baby stage.
For our special party we held a small family gathering to celebrate. But we did not go small for her first birthday party decorations! My kids parties are usually some form of an experiment. I'm typically trying out new products, ideas, colors, style and I cross my fingers it all comes together. Many of these items are available or will be available in our shop! I would love to hear what you think!
The original party inspiration came from this little sundress by Boden that I fell in love with. They have the cutest kids clothes!
The decoration he was most excited about was this nearly life-size storm trooper balloon. It really is impressive and makes a big (almost 6 ft.) statement. Caution, we barely got this into our car! My favorite decoration was the enormous 10ft. custom balloon garland we made in black, white, gray and black polka dot. We will begin to offer these custom balloon garland kits to our customers in the coming year.
We decorated the table with black sixlets and jumbo white gumballs. We also packaged the candy in clear plastic candy tubes to give to guests as favors. The boys loved having sword fights with these inflatable light sabers. Inexpensive and durable enough to last all the rough play during the entire party.
I took a risk ordering this Darth Vader plastic cake topper and it was a win! This thing makes the trademark Vader breathing sounds, really annoying to an adult- but the birthday boy though it was awesome. It comes with batteries already, flip the switch and plop on top of your cake. The silver tableware came from our shop. Spherical black and silver balloons also from our shop (link coming soon).
We decorated with a black, white, silver and gray tissue tassel banner from our shop. We created a custom name balloon, spelling ROMAN from our shop. Since we don't stock black balloons (only gold) we did a quick spray paint job and transformed them to outer space black. After they dried we affixed silver star stickers. I loved how these turned out. These balloons take regular air, are re-fillable and last forever After the party we hung them on the back of his bunk bed and they are still going strong a month later.

Late July and early August is birthday mayhem. My husband, my son and me all celebrate birthdays within 11 days!
]]>Late July and early August is birthday mayhem. My husband, my son and me all celebrate birthdays within 11 days! Typically Jeremy and I just celebrate together with an evening out but that had to wait until later this summer. Our two year old needed a party of course, but I did not want to neglect the adults on party day. This year it was decided that all three of us would celebrate together. Fortunately at two years old, he is not demanding a particular theme yet so I was able to decorate to suit both the little guy and the adults too!
For decorations I raided my party bin in the garage, visited my shop (the perks!) and the dollar store. Boom, I was set! Our rustic summer train theme included the colors black and silver, reminiscent of railroad tracks. For that summer feel, I incorporated burlap and sunflowers from our garden for a pop of color. A long piece of burlap functioned as our tablecloth, paired with wrapping paper down the center serving as my table runner. My kids adore Thomas the Train but it is just not my style. Since it was my birthday too, we incorporated trains a little differently. I made this cute printable “Choo Choo Look Who Is Two” for our centerpiece. You can download it too – in two sizes. I made Railroad Crossing decorations when my eldest son had a train party a few years back and simply repurposed them. To make these, I used postal mailing paper that is thicker than regular paper and a sharpie! I just freehanded the text, (really basic because I’m no artist) then used painters tape to stick it to my wall. Mailing Paper will also work great as a tablecloth or table cover in a pinch. I taped the paper to the underside of my dining table using painter’s tape. For cleanup, I just fold and all those crumbs and litter go straight into the garbage. No need to even clear the table or wipe. It makes cleaning up a cinch. It’s tan color looks rustic, which matched my theme décor, so there you go, a rustic table cover too. Oh and painter’s tape is awesome, no residue my friends! The irony here is that my walls where my kids eat and play are so DIRTY; they desperately need a fresh coat of paint! It is a great way to keep your walls and furniture pristine. Depending on which thickness you buy it will hold up more or less weight. I completely love it; it’s a household staple for me.
When family arrived we ate lunch (a simple make your own sandwich buffet) opened gifts and had cake. Some of the family (moi) have food sensitivities so we ordered a special cake for them but I also make cupcakes using my favorite from scratch chocolate cupcake recipe. They are super moist and have amazing flavor and I always get compliments! My two-year olds favorite gift was a yellow die cast school bus. Boys and their trucks….you can never have enough of these metal vehicles with wheels. This boy will load all of his cars in his sister’s pink toy stroller and push them all around the house. Silly boy, he cracks me up! Anyway, he is infatuated with school buses and he just loves this one. It is longer and bigger than most and quite impressive!
So there you go, our simple little rustic summer train birthday party.

]]>My Mom’s birthday is in July, right after the big festivities of the 4th of July. This year we kept it simple, met at a park, ate, enjoyed each other’s company while the kids played. Summer mixed berry shortcake made by my little sister made a delicious dessert. Ironically she slit her finger open and had to visit urgent care while making this very dessert for us all. Fortunately, she arrived with her hubby just in time to the party!
My other sister made us chicken salad, an old family recipe which our father referred to as tuna, which gave us all a big chuckle. My Aunt brought some balloons which were a huge hit. Between the balloons and the tissue garlands it really felt like a party, on top of just being simple allowing us to relax and have fun.
Behind these trees is poison ivy and a big warning sign not to venture in. Even though we have been to this park countless times, my kids always ask about it, probably just to get their dad to tell them about his dreaded encounter years ago.
Happy Birthday Mom!
